City Crafter #246

It's Tuesday again and that means  time for a new challenge at the City Crafter. My dear friendRos is our host and  the theme for this week is " Cheers "  (Create a card or project that features a drink  of any sort.... tea, coffee, soft drinks, wine etc)

Our Guest Designer isManuela; on her blog
you can see more of her pretty creations.

One of my favorite drinks and  the best start of a new day is coffee. Especially a good espresso;  make it a double please :)

And this is my card;  The sentiment and that cute badge speak for  itself so I kept the rest quite simple:

You can find more inspiration on our blog. The winner of this week will be offered a spot as a Guest Designer I am looking forward to see what you come up with;  thanks for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop January 2015

How are you? I am here today to share the card that I made  for the Papertrey Ink blog hop
This month the theme is "hearts"

I made this card for the happy parents of baby girl named Liz.  Liz was born last week.  I know that her parents love a modern and simple design  And I came up with a card with one heart :

No stamping; I used a few dies and  instead of using the die cut I used the "negative". I added a fewfew rhinestones and this is how my card turned out:

Geesh it has been a whirlwind of a week; literally.  We had stormy days with loads of rain.  And today we finally got to see the sun after 9 days in a row with grey skies.. But my card is white  and bright:)
I am smitten by the Songbird stamp set and dies from Papertrey Ink:

The bird was cut from dark blue cardstock. I did not remove all the cut leafs from the flower; I thought it would give the flower a different look and I like it:) Here is my card:

Lift Challenge #78

It has been a busy week:)  At Tuesday our youngest son Martijn went to Liverpool for the last part of his study.  Working on a research project before he graduates from University. In this photo you can see him with Ros

She has been a wonderful help for us  to get accomodation for Martijn.  And we are so so thankful for having her as a friend.  She is there in case Martijn needs her  and that is such a relief for his mum:) Here they are at the railway station in Liverpool  (Martijn flew to Manchester and took the train from there) We are looking forward to visit him this spring and finally meeting Ros!

And there was work, and a busy schedule... The weather here is windy, cold and wet.  A good reason to stay inside and  spend lots of time in my craft room. I made a card for the current Lift Challenge We're supposed to lift this card:

I made two cards; I must admit I was not pleased about the first one.  At first I decided to create a card with patterned paper I had for ages.  I have been hoardin…
